L'arête des Fréaux is a short, rocky, intermediate-level route equipped as part of the Villages d'alpinisme program.
Ascent: approx. 200m.
Going: 15 min.
Return: Chazelet or via the "vire des moutons" and abseiling, then the red route back to the starting point.

Climb the access path to the Fréaux climbing school to the Marmotte sector (you can attack the eponymous pillar in 3 short pitches of 3+).
At the ledge at the summit, turn right, then follow the left flank along the grassy slope to the start of the route.
Or bypass the Croquignol sector on the access path and follow the red marks to the foot of the left ridge.
