The strength of Auris is its skiing area. As it is linked by ski lifts to Alpe d’Huez, you have over 250 km of slopes for all levels to enjoy. You can explore the Grandes Rousses massif, with its small valleys, summits and special atmosphere.
Auris-en-Oisans is a “doorstep” skiing resort, making it both safe and friendly. But that’s not all! For those on a budget, remember that Auris has its own skiing area that will keep you busy for days, with its 19 pistes and 12 ski lifts.
- As regards equipment, Auris has everything needed to guarantee snow throughout the season, thanks to its snow cannons. And to help beginners, the snow front has been redesigned to include 2 conveyor belts.
- As regards fun, there is a free-ride zone, a sledging area and skiing entertainment, including unmissable nighttime skiing (during French school holidays).
- As regards budgets, take a look at the special savings available on ski passes in the “buy your ski pass” section.
For the advanced, resourceful or expert skiers, the doors to the Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine Ski stand wide open!
Because when we say “grand”, we’re not kidding; 135 pistes of all colours and vibes: 42 green, 37 blue, 39 red and 17 black.
Why It’s so special
Skiing in forests, across mountainsides, down valleys, from the top of the Pic Blanc, through rolling pastureland and even through the mountain on the demanding Piste du Tunnel… or down the 16 km Piste de Sarenne, one of the longest in Europe. When you ski here, you really visit the mountains, experiencing a rarely accessible, unspoiled environment.
And that’s not all!
The Grand Domaine has a multitude of fun areas, including the famous Jacques le Bucheron piste, with its highly coloured modules: whoops, moguls, banked turns, tunnels, slalom, hikes, canyons, figurines and photo points.
No worries for the children, as the adults absolutely love it too.
