ROUTE
From Place des Orgières, the route heads to Place des Écrins via the pedestrian path located behind the tourist office. At the end of Place des Écrins, turn right and head up Rue de Piégut to the resort’s last parking lot. Just before it, on your right, you’ll find the trailhead—a wide, vehicle-accessible path. A short climb through the forest ascends gently. At the end of this, the first panoramic view comes into view; take the path branching off to the right—a yellow sign points toward Les Sûres. You’ll then follow the lush green slopes of Auris-en-Oisans. On the other side, you’ll overlook the Romanche Valley. Once you arrive in Les Sûres, a sweeping view of the Bourg d’Oisans valley awaits you! You’ll also catch a glimpse of the Alpe d’Huez resort and the Belledonne, Grandes Rousses, Taillefer, and Écrins mountain ranges.
You can then head straight back down behind the mountain snack bar, then pass through the Col de Maronne to reach the resort.

Since this route passes near alpine pastures, you may encounter guard dogs. Check with the tourist office to learn the proper way to interact with them.
