ITINERARY
The trailhead is located behind the Odalys residence. A trail behind the bus stop climbs steeply toward the forest. Follow "Col de Cluy" / "Le Péril" on the yellow sign. You’ll walk toward the Saint Géraud Chapel for about twenty minutes. After passing it, take the livestock trail on the left toward the hamlet of Cluy.
During the summer season, you may encounter flocks of sheep and livestock guard dogs along the way. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the proper precautions to take when encountering these dogs.
After visiting the small hamlet and its chapel, you can return to the resort by retracing your steps.
Regarding the Saint-Géraud Chapel: legend has it that Count Saint Géraud of Aurillac passed through Auris-en-Oisans during one of his many pilgrimages to Rome. This chapel, dating from the year 890, is said to have been built in his honor.
